State registering of births/death started in January 1906. PA birth/death records prior to 1906 are available at the Cambria County Courthouse.

AVAILABLE FROM REGISTER OF WILLS OFFICE:
*Birth Records - 1893 to 1906
*Death Records - 1893 to 1906
*Marriage License Records - 1885 to Present
*Estate Records - 1808 to Present

Birth and death records before 1893 may or may not be in Somerset County.

Birth records are $4.00
Death records are $3.00
Marriage records are .50 cents for a microfilm copy or $1.00 for a copy made on a regular copy machine.
Certified copies of marriage records are $5.00
Estate records - copies are .50 cents per page

You MUST always include a self addressed-stamped envelope. Checks or money orders are accepted.
